Nutcracker Auditions

Dancers enrolled in levels Ballet 1 and above are eligible to audition for the Nutcracker. Auditions are typically held after the first week of Fall semester classes. Please check below to see audition dates and times by level.

Dancers who are not registered for Nutcracker will not appear on the casting list. Please check your registration at the time of auditions.

Primary and Jr. Pre-Professional Divisions (Ballet 1 – 5B)
Sunday, September 8th, 2019

Mandatory parent orientation is held during the auditions for each level, and will include information specific to that level. Performance fees are due when you sign your dancer in on the day of auditions. Checks should be made out to NEAD. Dancers must be registered for classes in order to be eligible to audition.

Fees:
Ballet 1- $200
Ballet 2 and above- $250

Ballet 1	11:00 – 11:50 am
Ballet 2	12:00 – 1:00 pm
Ballet 3	1:10 – 2:40 pm
Ballet 4A/4B	3:00 – 4:30 pm
Ballet 5A	4:45 – 6:00 pm
Ballet 5B	6:00 – 7:00 pm

NEAD Company and Enrichment Auditions*
Saturday, September 7th, 2019

Parents of auditioning Enrichment and Company members, are required to attend a general information/orientation meeting scheduled during your child’s audition.

6A, 6B, & Int/Adv dancers not yet in Company	10:30 – 12:00 pm
Returning Company Members	12:00 – 1:00 pm

*Please note: We have a limited number of “open” spots for our 2018-2019 NEAD Company and Enrichment programs. All students not included in our company will be eligible for our Enrichment program. Due to the high enrollment in our upper school 5b will not be eligible for Enrichment this year.

*Membership fees for Enrichment have changed due to the increase in activities for Enrichment members. Enrichment membership is now $375 per semester. Enrichment class is $390 per semester.

Company membership is $500 per semester, and Company class is $390 per semester.

Parent Meetings for Enrichment and Company:
Saturday, September 7th, 2019

Parent meetings for Enrichment and Company will take place in studio B.
