New England Academy of Dance remains dedicated to providing the best training possible given the current extraordinary circumstances. This summer we have designed a safe, nurturing environment that will enable each student to explore their technical and artistic capabilities. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of young dancers to grow and expand to their full potential.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and with great consideration for our students and staff, NEAD has made the decision to hold in-person classes for levels 4a and up. Regrettably, NEAD is not able to offer in-person intensive training to students placed in lower levels due to capacity constraints arising from social distancing requirements.
The tuition for our summer program takes into consideration the CDC, State and local guidelines. This includes small class size, cleaning services, teachers’ salaries, and special recommendations. We will also continue to offer online classes and outdoor activities, weather permitting.
We are aware that most if not all ballet summer programs have been canceled or moved to online learning and NEAD wants to help keep our dancers focused and strong, therefore we have created a program that is affordable given the current restrictions and extra health and safety protocols.

Ballet 4A through Int/Adv
- Session 1 – June 29 to July 18
- Session 2 – July 20 to August 8
While we will meet and exceed health guidelines during our summer dance intensive, we recognize that not every family will be ready for in-person classes. For this reason, we are also offering Zoom streaming of our live classes.
Classes offered Virtually for Summer 2020:
Dates: June 29th – August 8th , 2020
Tuition:
- $20 for a 2 hour class
- $15 for a 1.5 hour class
- $10 for a 1 hour class
Students must complete a daily temperature check for 14 days prior to attendance of a NEAD summer intensive. This is part of our prescreening form, which must be turned in completed on the first day of attending class at NEAD this summer.
For summer 2020, we will only be accepting students who were enrolled during the 2019-2020 school year. Level placement for summer intensives is based on your 2019-2020 level.
